Lauren needs tampons for her eyeballs after walking away from the drunk bogans she hates so much.
Rhi and Carina comfort her before she walks back in to tackle the firing line once more.
Lauren tells the girls there is no spark between her and Clint and while she’s at it, makes it clear she can’t stand Jamie.
Lauren runs out of insults so Girls Night must end prematurely. Jamie tells Big Dave what Lauren said about her sparkless relationship with Clint and naturally, Big Dave tells Clint.
In fact, he interrupts Clint’s voxie to do so, acting like he’s about to tell the bloke that someone died. Why is the BFG so stressed about this?
Clint decides to believe Lauren instead and with a shirt like her’s, I could be fooled into thinking she’s actually trying with this relationship.
Rhi checks on Lauren to make sure she doesn’t need any eye tampons after last night’s events. Lauren’s fine and thinks everyone that’s not her is a loser, including Rhi because she disagrees with Lauren’s name-calling.
Later on, Lauren and Clint watch on as the rest of the cast wax Eliots back. I think Lauren just said that Beth should “go back the ugly mute she was at the dinner party” which is just plain fucking nasty.
Anyway, Teejay comes over to check on the couple right before Lauren calls Jamie a “troll”. Teejay tells Jamie, and Dave goes right in to tell Lauren and Clint how fucked that is as soon as he has a chance.
Clint has been possessed by the Golf Wife spirit and is telling Jamie to shut up and sit down as he defends Lauren. These are all things Clint actually said to Jamie:
”More listening less talking.”
”Sit the fuck down.”
”You’re embarrassing yourself.”
It’s very fucking wild and unexpected from a man who’s struggled to locate his backbone.
Adrian jumps in to tell Clint that he shouldn’t swear at women. If Adrian’s getting involved with advice on how to treat women, you know something’s very wrong.
Jacqui also jumps at the opportunity to accuse Rhi of something — anything — by asking why she didn’t jump in to defend Jamie during the argument with Lauren. Jeff is not having a bloody bar of this attention-seeking, laughing at the mere attempt.
Jamie isn’t happy with Carina and Rhi and wants to know why they’re not defending her.
Rhi says she feels like she needs time to process what’s happening before jumping in with her opinion, and Carina says she feels like Jamie’s approach to situations like this is a bit full on.
Jamie is very upset and honestly, I’m confused. Don’t get me wrong: Lauren has said some awful shit about not only Jamie but everyone. But Dave’s dramatics in the last two episodes, Rhi and Carina’s response to this argument tonight and Clint’s unexpected side have got me pondering what we’re not seeing.
Sue me but I’ve watched this show enough to know not everything’s as it seems.
One thing’s for sure: “Boganic” is never going to happen.
